Welcome to Downtown Sports.

We’re a Bristol-based American sports store with a little bit of the South running through everything we do.

Around here, Sundays are for football, winter nights belong to hockey, summer means baseball, and there’s always room for one more piece of team gear.

We started Downtown Sports because being an American sports fan in the UK shouldn’t mean struggling to find your team, paying ridiculous prices, or waiting forever for something to cross the Atlantic.

So we decided to do something about it.

  • Downtown Sports has its roots in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Jenna grew up around American sports culture and supporting the Atlanta Falcons.

    After moving across the Atlantic to the UK, she quickly discovered one problem:

    Following American sports from Britain was easy enough.

    Finding good merchandise?

    That was a whole different ball game.

    The same few teams seemed to be everywhere.

    Some merchandise was difficult to find.

    And ordering directly from America could mean expensive shipping, long waits and a whole lot of hassle.

    That got us thinking.

    What if there was a UK store that actually understood American sports fans?

    Not just another website selling merchandise.

    A store run by people who cared about the teams, the leagues, the traditions and that feeling you get when game day finally rolls around.

    Together with Jeremy and the support of our family, that idea became:

    DOWNTOWN SPORTS

    And we’ve been building it ever since.

    Nothing wrong with those teams.

    Downtown Sports wants to serve the fans who support the big names and the teams you hardly ever see on a UK shop shelf.

    We’re an independent business.

    Not that any of us would ever do that.

    We may be thousands of miles away from Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Buffalo, Boston, Chicago, Seattle and every other American sports city…
